1. Single Purpose & Overview

GBP Insight is a local SEO analysis and Google Business Profile diagnostic extension. All profile inspection, review auditing, and category analysis are executed locally inside your web browser and displayed on screen. We do not sell, rent, or commercialize your personal or browsing data.

2. Data We Collect & Process

  • Account Information: Your email address and securely hashed password when registering an account to sync pro tier permissions.
  • Scan Quota Telemetry: A single scan-type label ("search" or "single") transmitted solely to count usage against your tier quota. No search keyword, business name, address, or any other Google Maps content is included.
  • Authentication Storage: JSON Web Tokens (JWT) stored in secure extension storage (chrome.storage.local) to maintain session state.
  • Ephemeral Comparison State: Temporary business comparisons chosen by the user are stored strictly within the tab's local sessionStorage. This data never leaves your browser, is not sent to any server, and is immediately destroyed when the tab is closed.

3. What We Do NOT Collect

GBP Insight does not collect your personal browsing history, private communications, or sensitive payment details. Google Maps result sets, customer reviews, business names, and competitor data are never transmitted to or stored on our servers; that content stays in your browser and is only rendered on screen. The extension provides no export, download, or file-generation feature of any kind, and issues no requests of its own to Google.

4. Chrome Web Store Policy Compliance

GBP Insight strictly complies with the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies, Single Purpose Policy, and User Data Limited Use Policy.

5. User Data Rights & Deletion

You may sign out at any time to clear local storage credentials. To request full deletion of your account and associated records, submit a request directly through your account dashboard at gbpinsight.com/dashboard.
